Sitting down to a board game is fun - but what if we made it decadent? And what makes a sprawling, table engulfing game feel even more special? Heavy weighted coins, unique miniatures (that you can paint and customise!) and delicious looking little wooden pieces, of course. Besides, we all have a friend who has every game under the sun - rather than treating them to another new one and worrying if it fits with their already teeming shelves, why not treat them to a swanky upgrade for one of their favourites? This is a quick list of ways to *deluxify* existing games, and treat yourself (or the friend) who has everything!

Flamecraft Upgrades

If you love worker placement and engine building games with the delightful spark of charming dragons, you’re probably already very familiar with Flamecraft. But did you know that the team from Cardboard Alchemy have released a bunch of extras to enhance the player experience?
First are the cute sculpted resin dragon miniatures, sure to enchant any avid boardgamer or mini collector alike! But if that wasn’t enough, alongside these adorable miniatures are deluxe coins and wooden playing pieces (such as the iron, meat, crystal, plant and potion tokens) that look chunky and colourful enough to eat. (Of course, we here at Vault Games do not endorse chewing on the pieces. Even if they do look delicious.)

Scythe Upgrades

Scythe is an engine building game about setting up your faction for success, and reaping a delicious set of resources each and every turn, aiming to up your efficiency with every more. But what feels more successful than the hearty jingle of heavy, metal coins? With this spicy Scythe upgrade you can feel the weight of every turn as your pockets grow heavier (or lighter!) with these deluxe metal coins. There are also realistic upgrades to the resources tokens, made of resin and metal! My favourite is the tiny food token, which is a bag of grains!

Wyrmspan upgrades

Wyrmspan also comes with some delectable upgrade options, in the forms of tiny wooden pieces of meat, milk, gold and gems! All the better to attract the perfect dragons to the lairs you explore. There are also rubber playmat options, which grip cards a little easier and stop your dragons from sliding from one lair into another. Deluxeifying can be about those little ‘quality of life’ style updates too ;)

Token Silo

Our last, but certainly not least addition is the token silo! We all know game night can get messy, with tokens, cards, individual player boards and more. With the token silo, this mess is for days past - and what better way to feel swanky than to take charge of the game table, and classily stack each component and pieces in its proper place? The token silo comes with multiple compartments that are removable and can be placed within the silo or moved about the table for maximum convenience! Its truly times like these that we can game in style.
