The Characters expansion for Obsession, which transforms the passing turn to include visits to unique characters in and around Derbyshire. The Dowager Marchioness, Constable, and Reverend have the abilities to solve your worst Obsession problems: a lack of prestige guests, too many embarrassing and unsavoury visitors, hopeless objectives, and a shortage of servants.

CHARACTERS: Introduces true worker placement in the form of the Constable, Reverend, and Dowager Marchioness, which enables players to exchange objective cards, run off unsavoury guests, and recruit prestige guests.

SECOND CHANCE SERVANTS: Who needs references? You can easily hire intoxicated, flirtatious, and clumsy servants to allow you to pull off huge activities…but there are consequences. 

DISTINGUISHED FAMILY MEMBERS: Players can customise their family by replacing 1 or 2 of their ordinary family members with distinguished family members who have new, enhanced favours.

FULL COOPERATIVE PLAY:  A malevolence has cast a shadow over the Derbyshire hills. It is rumoured that the disreputable, mercantile Sneyd family, formerly of Staffordshire, is on the rise, leveraging newly ill-gotten wealth in a quest to form an alliance with the Fairchilds of Alderley Hall. The local upstanding families have united in opposition to the grasping Sneyd clan, declaring that they shall rally together to defend Derbyshire honour!  For 2 or 3 players.

UNIVERSAL OBJECTIVE CARD DECK: A deck of 52 objectives (including 22 new ones) that permanently replaces the two current objective card decks.

TWENTY-EIGHT NEW GENTRY: With new types and novel favours including 20 prestige guests, which are in demand at higher player counts.

FOURTEEN NEW SOLO OPPONENTS: For standard play and extended play, with Upstairs, Downstairs, Characters, and/or just the base game. Top end incredibly difficult opponents for those who need a challenge.

VARIANT CATALOGUE: Official, 20-page rulebook with 14 new modes of play.

PONY & TRAP PROMOTIONAL TILE: Designed by Tony Boydell, this tile allows you to use tiles in the tableau of other players.

 

This is an expansion and a copy of the base game Obsession is needed to play. Coins not included.

Shipment Processing Time

All orders, if the item was in-stock at the time of purchase, are processed within 2 business days of the order being placed, or, if the item was out of stock at the time of purchase, within 2 business days of the product arriving in store.

Preorders are processed in a timeframe that allows for the product to arrive on or after the release date.

If an item is 'Order-in', it can vary how long this item takes to come into stock from our suppliers. If in stock at our supplier, it is likely to be 2-3 weeks to arrive in store. Other times, items may be out of stock at suppliers, and while we do our best to ensure our website it up to date, we have thousands of products on our site, and technology hasn't quite caught up for us to pull information from all our suppliers and the availability of each and every product, and have this update regularly. If you require a product ETA, please contact us at the time you place your order.

Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Orders (including PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers) will be shipped via our shipping client Shippit, which includes courier partners such as Couriers Please, Aramex, and AusPost Parcel Post at a flat rate of $15 per order. Please note parcels have authority to leave, unless you request otherwise.

If shipped via Standard Parcel Post, it is up to the discretion of the individual courier whether your parcel is left at your residence or taken to the nearest depot or post office. We do not have any control of a parcel once it has been picked up from our store(s).

Express Post orders are shipped via the Aus Post Express service and are charged at a $28 flat rate. Please note that not all post codes are covered by this service.

Delivery delays can occasionally occur, especially during peak periods such as Black Friday and Christmas, or by weather events.
